When I first heard of the PSA, I was planning to do a cartoon animation on the computer. It would be of a teen driving out of control because of texting and then eventually cause a car crash. Unfortunately, this would take too long and requires high leveled skills; therefore, it would be a waste of time to try it knowing that we have limited time to work on it. The next step was to make a recording of the speaker saying facts and real life situations that deal with texting while driving. Melancholy, background music would be playing at the same time to relate to the topic because sometimes it ends up in death. This wasn't such a good idea because it wouldn't be creative enough to grab the targeted audience. Another design was to make an iMovie with top rated facts and pictures of accidents as a result of texting while driving. This seemed to be the best idea so far , but I thought of an even catchier way to raise an awareness of texting while driving. The design was to gather several pictures of cars and place them in a sequence that leads to a tragic outcome like a car crash. At the end we want to include a real life video. Also, the music will be a song that will build up to end loudly when the video ends with a crash.
We decided this was the best design because it was realistic and at the same time catchy to grab the attention of any teen. It will be enough to meet the specifications of time length and creativity.
